Hatshepsut
The only feMALE who gave great wealth and relations to Egypt
A Little Backround on Hatshepsut
Hatshepsut
When Hatshepsut's husband died she assumed power in 1479 because there was no one else to take the place of the pharaoh. She was the first female pharaoh so no one had an image of a woman being a pharaoh so she dressed as a pharaoh would look like. She also changed all her titles to be less feminine and more masculine, so like dropping the "t" at the end of her name.
She was known as a great trader because of great things the Egyptians acquired as she was pharaoh. When she first became the pharaoh she decided to not go on anymore military conquests because they didn't need any more of anything at the moment. So she decided to re build the relationships lost in time and to re build many buildings that existed.
Her death is unknown, but some people think they know how or why she died. Some would say that the next pharaoh in line poisoned her so that he may take the power for himself. Others say she died of bone cancer. Then some other people say that she died of a chronic skin disease. The of course there are others who think she had a combination of arthritis, diabetes, obesity, and bone cancer.
Building Projects
Hatshepsut's main goal was to restore Egypt to what it used to be and to get it higher than what it used to be too. So she decided to not do any military conquests and only build up what land she does have.
She built a temple called Djeser-djeseru which means holiest of holy places. She built it for Amon as a funerary cult. She later put big granite pillars by the temple too. However when the next pharaoh took over most of that area was destroyed.
