News from Ms. Tornopsky
April 2022 Edition

Dear Franklin Families,
Welcome to April and Spring! Administration is going to have a discipline assembly with our 5th through 8th grade students. At this time of year, it is a good time to remind our students the expectations of our school. Please view our presentation at this link to see what we spoke about with our students:
We are also preparing for Field Day for all grades K-8! So excited to have some more fun with our entire school. More information will be coming and a flyer can be found below and on our website.
Sincerely,
Ms. Rena Roseff-Tornopsky
Principal

Staff Member Appreciation
Please take a moment to let our staff know that you care and you see what they are doing with your student. One kind word, can really make someone's day!
Carline Etiquette
For the afternoon carline, please do not stack on Military trail. Arrive on campus at the times listed on our website and you will be allowed to enter. ALL families must have the DashPass Application. The information has been on every newsletter and can be found below. Not having this application will delay dismissal of your student and back up the carline.
Students are not permitted to walk off campus, unless they are a registered walker. The Allstate building is not a pick up area for your student. They have started to send us pictures of students loitering on their property and have stated they will call PBSO for trespassing. Please follow the policies that are in the handbook, for everyone's safety.

Course Selection Time
Student COVID Policy
Please read the updated COVID student policy on our website, which was updated 2/14/2022:
In addition, when a student is quarantining or home with COVID all classwork should be posted to the teachers Google Classroom. This work can be accessed by all students. As long as a student is able to, health wise, they should be completing their work and submitting it to the teacher. While we are not permitted to do virtual teaching at this time, a student can request the teacher have a Google Meet, when the teacher is available, to help the student with any questions they may have.
Please contact the teacher with any questions regarding the posting of work, or available times. All students should have already joined the Google Classrooms for their teachers, if not, again please speak with the teacher.
If your student tests positive for COVID-19 or was exposed to someone who tested positive, please fill out this form as soon as possible: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeszjAjkrahnu7wL6obAnuaQRaOHO2icBFx3iSQ0hOTT5JUJw/viewform
If you have not opted out of your student wearing a mask, please be sure to send them in with it. Students are asking for masks on a daily basis and it is challenging to sustain the supply at this rate.

Uniform infractions will be given to any student who is not following the above uniform requirements.
Please remind your student that gum is not allowed and cell phones must be turned off and kept in his/her backpack until he/she is picked up from school.
