Immunization Requirements for 2022-23 school year
Hello Harmony Families
In order to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, all students must be up to date on their required pediatric immunizations before the start of the school year. Below is information on how you can avoid the back-to-school doctor's appointment rush.
DC Health is pleased to allow families to schedule a walk-up vaccination appointment. Appointments can be booked up to 24 hours in advance of any clinic at any school. To sign up complete the pre-registration link: https://forms.office.com/g/mmxkzS0S6m
For an updated list of immunization requirements, visit
COVID Vaccinations: Eligible students are strongly encouraged to become vaccinated for COVID-19. In some cases, COVID vaccination is mandatory. If your child has received the COVID vaccine over the summer, please email a picture of their card to email@example.com so we may update our records.
Masking: At this time, masking is required inside the building and optional outside the building. We will periodically review the mask requirements and update it as needed.
Contact Tracing: If a student tests positive for COVID-19 (through a rapid antigen or PCR test), they will be required to isolate themselves away from school for a minimum of five days. Students will be provided with schoolwork to complete during this period. They may return to school on day six (6) after testing positive.
Close Contact Protocol: If a student is named a close contact, in the 2022-23 school year, Harmony DC will employ a test-to-stay model for students exposed to COVID and not up to date on the COVID vaccine. If exposed, families will still receive a notice from our COVID Response Team that they are a close contact of a COVID-positive person. Exposed students will remain in school and be provided with a rapid antigen test and be required to submit proof of a negative test at least twice after exposure.
Virtual Home Visits
We are dedicated to starting this year strong. In the next few weeks, Harmony staff will be reaching out to conduct virtual home visits. We would love to get to know you a little better and have some time to introduce our selves in a less formal way. We look forward to chatting!
