Region Band Students
We had 12 qualify for a callback to All State Auditions: Brittany Pfeiffer, Nicholas Fiouris, Samuel McClelland, Emily Siron, Joshua Brown, David Foong, Brianna Bramblett, Julianna Fisher, Kelsi Cox, BreJo'n Thompson, Marqwell Batts, and Justin Harrison.
We had 4 students qualify for Region Band: Amy Fisher, Noah Owens, Liam Montiel, and Colin Smith.
We had 6 students who qualified as alternates for Region Band: Leighton Gay, Jared Jackson, Austin Kennedy, Amber Pullen, Secaida Howell, and Anthony Sale.
Congratulations to these outstanding Blue Legion Band members!
BHS Talent Show
Global Society/House 3 will be hosting the BHS annual Talent Show on Thursday, February 27th at 6:30 in the auditorium. If you are interested in sharing your talent with BHS please pick up an informational packet in the main office. Auditions will be held on Tuesday, February 11th.
Prom
This year, prom will take place on Saturday, April 26th at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. A ticket table will be set up Monday-Friday in the atrium AT LUNCH ONLY. Ticket sales are going on now and will end on April 3rd. Tickets are ONLY available at lunch. There are no exceptions. Make sure to have your student ID with you.
Remember that prom tickets are increasing by $5 every week until April 3rd.
If one wants to change who their date to prom is, make sure you let one of the Junior Class officers know at the table set up at lunch. Also, for seniors who attended prom last year, make sure to stop by the table to verify that you will be attending prom again this year. Those SENIORS who attended prom last year are allowed to get in to prom for free this year.Culinary Arts Applications
Freshman looking to get into the Culinary Arts program next year, be on the lookout for applications in the main office, culinary room 801, and the main guidance office starting this week.
Musical Theatre Class
Anyone interested in auditioning for the new Musical Theatre class that will be offered next year, please sign up for an audition spot outside room 901. Auditions will be held on Monday, January 27th & Tuesday, January 28th.
BHS Military Family Night
Miss Blythewood
The Miss Blythewood Pageant will be held this Saturday in the Auditorium at 7 pm. Tickets are $7 in advance and may be purchased in the front office or from a contestant. Tickets will be $10 at the door so get your tickets now!

The Sparkleberry Fair is once again generously offering high school students $1,000 college scholarships. Applications may be accessed by clicking on the link below for any high school seniors interested in applying.
Child Development Applications
Richland Two’s Title I Child Development Program will be accepting applications
Monday, January 13, through Friday, April 11, 2014
• This is a needs-based program designed to ensure that the most
at-risk children enter kindergarten with the skills necessary to
succeed academically.
• The full-day program is free to qualifying families
• Children applying for the program must be four years old by
September 1, 2014.
• Applications will be taken at the Clemson Road Child Development
Center (CRCDC) at 2621A Clemson Road, Monday - Friday, from
8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
