Your weekly update on whats going on at New Hope

The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential... these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.

Dear Family,

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a relaxing weekend with your scholars and that this week's brought nothing but growth through learning experiences and optimism for the future.

This week we have a couple of things we are preparing for. I would like to give a special thank you to the parents who helped out at the book fair last week and sacrificed their time. It was greatly appreciated. If you would to volunteer some hours during our next FCE event please email your information and number of hours you would like to volunteer per week or month to

Please know that if you or other parents you know find it challenging to pick up scholars by 4pm that there are other options. We love spending time with scholars, but we also know that after a long day at school they are ready to go home. There is a private bus service associated with New Hope, as well an after school program through Xposure from 4pm-6pm. If you are interested please let me know and I will give you the contact information.

Also, all chocolate monies are due!! If you have not been able to sell the chocolate, you can also turn that in. We will be making phone calls home to make sure that if you don't get this memo that you get the message. Monies can be turned into Ms Michael. Thank you in advance!

I am really excited about the initiatives, events and projects that I see coming out of FCE. We are very passionate about the charge given to us. If you have any questions, concerns or suggestions I would love to hear from you. Please reach out to me at or at 718.408.5235 or 917.789.3479.

Yours in Service,

Sandra Michael

Director of FCE

New Hope Scholar ID'S

Please remember that we will be hosting a scholar ID event at New Hope in April.

Having a Child ID can add assurance to you by knowing that should anything ever happen to your child, you will have an ID with vital information to distribute to the local authorities.

Child IDs are created using the EZ Child ID System, the nation’s most comprehensive digital fingerprinting child identification system. Created with help from the National CHIP foundation and law enforcement officials, this system ensures that the digital fingerprints meet industry standards by capturing all vital information required by the Amber Alert system.

In only 3 to 5 minutes, a Child ID card will be printed, free of charge. Child ID cards feature a child’s photo, fingerprints, contact information, and other pertinent data needed by the police in case of an emergency.
