The Falcon Report

School District of Flambeau

Welcome Back!

Welcome back and to the first edition of The Falcon Report! We hope that you will find this to be informational, fun, and helpful in keeping you regularly updated on what is happening at our wonderful school. Enjoy!

From the District Administrator's Office

Everyone one of us has a vital role in providing a successful educational experience for each of the students that come to our schools. All 589 students that attend the Flambeau School District are counting on all 75 staff members, their families and our communities to support and provide what is necessary for success. We truly are “all in this together”.

We are all in this together is our theme this year. We know by working together toward

common goals we will experience much greater success. We also know by supporting each other we will achieve much more. Not only are we collaboratively working toward the same goals, but we also gain a greater level of satisfaction knowing our contributions support the greater good.

From the Elementary Principal's Office

What a great start to the school year! While I have been visiting classrooms and talking with students, it has been entertaining listening to the excitement of being back at school learning and playing with old and new friends. Currently, interventionists and classroom teachers are finishing up our beginning of the year assessments, so please be on the look-out for information from your child’s teacher explaining who he/she will be working with during WIN time. Please call if you have questions regarding how to work with your child at home. We are here to help!

If you’re looking for a good book to read aloud to your children, my kids and I recently finished Swindle by Gordon Korman. We very much enjoyed it—check it out!

From the Middle School/High School Principal's Office

First of all, I wanted to thank all of our students, parents, staff, and community members for making this such a great beginning of the school year! One of the many highlights of our first two weeks here was the 7th grade parent meeting about our 1:1 program. Last year, we started this program to provide laptops to all of our 7th grade students. We plan to continue this program, and are excited about what this means for our students. We’ll continue to communicate with you and your students about this program, but please don’t hesitate to call or email me if you have any questions.

--Mrs. Dieckman

From The Dean of Students' Office

Thanks to all who made the first couple weeks of school a huge success. We have made some pretty significant changes in our expectations of ALL involved here at Flambeau. Raising the bar will have some growing pains but if the first couple of weeks is any indication the sky is the limit. Our kids are fantastic. Thank you!
