Community Update

Last week we shared information about changes in masking guidelines for students and the use of Rapid Test Kits. Today, we have some updates we’d like to share about the student use of the Rapid Test Kits.

• If your student is showing COVID symptoms at school, they will be escorted to the Wellness Room and you will be contacted for pickup.
  
  
• Once you arrive at the school’s Wellness Room for pickup, we will issue you a sealed Antigen Rapid Test kit containing two rapid tests and instructions on how to administer the test. Once you are safely home with your student you may administer the rapid test.

• If it is determined that your student was exposed to a person who tested positive for COVID, the school will contact you to pick up your student.
  
  
• Once you arrive at the school for pickup, we will issue a sealed Antigen Rapid Test kit containing two rapid tests and instructions on how to administer the test. Once you are safely home with your student, you may administer the rapid test.

If you would like the school site to administer the Antigen Rapid Test, you must sign the parent permission slip upon arrival at the school's Wellness Room.

La semana pasada compartimos información sobre cambios en las pautas del uso de los tapabocas para estudiantes y el uso de los kits de prueba rápida. Hoy, tenemos algunas actualizationes que nos gustaría compartir sobre el uso de los kits de prueba rápida para estudiantes.

El Distrito ha finalizado el plan de uso de los kits de prueba. Así es como se utilizarán las pruebas:

• Si su estudiante tiene síntomas de COVID durante horas de escuela, será escoltado a la sala de bienestar de la escuela y nos comunicaremos con usted para que lo recoja.
  
  
• Una vez su estudiante llegue a la sala de bienestar de la escuela esperará a que lo recojan, le daremos un kit de prueba rápida de antígeno sellado que contiene dos pruebas rápidas e instrucciones de como administrarla. Una vez que esté en casa puede administrarle la prueba a su estudiante.

• Si se determina que su estudiante estuvo expuesto a una persona que dio positivo para COVID, la escuela se comunicará con usted para que lo recoja.
  
  
• Una vez usted llegue a la escuela a recoger a su estudiante, le daremos un kit de prueba rápida de antígeno sellado que contiene dos pruebas rápidas e instrucciones de como administrarla. Una vez que esté en casa puede administrarle la prueba a su estudiante.

Si desea que la escuela le administre a su estudiante la prueba rápida de antígeno, necesitamos que firme un permiso al llegar a la sala de bienestar de la escuela.
