Dear Secondary Educators,

Testing season has arrived! In the midst of it all, we'd like to take this opportunity to let you know about some of the exciting things that are going on in the world of secondary literacy!

Here are some highlights:

  • Muir ELA teachers rekindled their inner writer at the Spring Writing Institute
  • The Blair Spanish DLIP team collaborated to build the Scope & Sequence for 6th-8th grades
  • McKinley staff analyzed their colleagues' lesson plans and provided meaningful feedback
  • Rose City and CIS ELA teachers engaged with writing templates to support their instruction around argumentation

As we come into the home stretch of the 2015-2016 school year, we encourage you to be reflective of the gains you've made with your students as a result of your reading and writing instruction. The expertise you bring to this AWESOME profession is invaluable, and we are here to support you in your efforts to meet the instructional needs of your students.

And as a friendly reminder, we are here to serve you. Please feel free to reach out to us. We look forward to working with you in this final month and a half, and we wish you all the very best.
