(UPDATED) Per the UTSC Handbook, students will NOT be going outside when the temperature is below 10 degrees, which includes the wind chill. For more information, please visit the Elementary Handbook HERE.
Just a friendly reminder that students must have the proper attire in order to go outside for recess: This can include snow pants, boots, gloves, hat, etc., depending on the age of the child.
Since students will still need to rotate areas while outside, it's imperative that students be prepared with the proper attire in order to stay warm and safe while outside :)

Principal Fuller's Thoughts
Sometimes making decisions can be difficult.
Deciding on what to eat for dinner, deciding on whether to work-out after a long day, deciding to turn off the TV and pick up that book...
...decisions can be even more difficult when you know other people will be affected by them.
As leaders in our jobs, our families, our personal lives, and our faith, when we make decisions, the outcomes of those decisions are often felt by many.
We are taught that there are ‘Six Steps to Making Decisions’: Identify the Problem, Gather Information, Identify Alternatives, Weigh the Evidence, Choose Alternatives, MAKE A DECISION, and Review.
I think it’s a really smart template, but of those six steps, the hardest one comes at the end: MAKE A DECISION.
Sometimes, we can even take too long to make a decision for one reason or another. We might be gathering all of the information, the day gets away from us, or it could be that you know the decision will undoubtedly make at least one, if not more, people unhappy.
In trying to make the ‘perfect’ decision (no such thing), we can create more anxiety for the people around us.
The most important part of the decision making process is simple: MAKE A DECISION.
Steve Jobs said it best: You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards.
It’s naive to believe that any one person has ALL the answers. When we come to the realization that no person can see into the future to tell how a decision will be received, you can prevent yourself from making decisions that do not come from a positive, caring place.
Whether it is eating at Chili’s or Stack’s on a Friday night or making that phone call you’ve been putting off for weeks...MAKE A DECISION!
If you don’t, your wife may make it for you and it’ll be chicken and broccoli again ;)
