The Roadrunner Report
The Rundown on Ridgewood Elementary - November 1, 2019
Together with our community, Ridgewood Elementary School provides an education inspired by the attributes of the IB Learner Profile while fostering learner agency and encouraging meaningful action.
Principal Perspective - Thank you!
What an amazing day our Jogathon was! Thanks to all who came out to support our students as they ran, and to those who pledged in support of our kids. Each year I am overwhelmed with the joy, enthusiasm and spirit of our Jogathon. We are grateful to the Jogathon Committee and look forward to celebrating our success next Wednesday during our award assemblies.
The funds from our Jogathon support many amazing things at Ridgewood. Programs such as Celebrate Reading, Passport, Track Club and our music programs are all supported by Jogathon funds. Additionally, all of our field trips are covered, as well as additional supplies and enrichments for our classrooms.
This year, we will also use designated funds to fuel a refresh of our library. To that end, we invite all parents to take our lIbrary survey below to give input on what we would like to see in our library in the future. We will also be surveying students and staff, and then will begin work on refreshing and updating our library.
As we enter this season of Thanksgiving, I am grateful for our school community, and the care and resources given to enrich and support all of our students. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
