Safety Updates
We had the MCSO office on campus last Monday for our monthly active assailant drill and once again, everyone knew what to do and demonstrated it. Please know that the safety of every individual in this building is high priority and something our staff does not take lightly.
Please use this as a reminder that you should NEVER EVER open doors for anyone. Anyone who needs access to Clark has an ID card or they can come be buzzed in up front. Help us keep Clark safe.
~Dr. Judd and Mrs. Villwock

Make a difference Monday. Water is life! What are you doing to help protect our water? Several students joined Mrs. Villwock Saturday at Water Fest: Noa Vignone, Emily Beagle, Olivia Beagle, Jaxon Brown, Donald Cody, Chase Demski, Lexi, Moxley, Angelica Jones, Falene Arick, Adam Lee and Marco Irizarry-Rivera.
Take Care Tuesday- Get out in Nature. Research has repeatedly shown a link between being outdoors and lower levels of stress, depression and anxiety. Time in nature also helps counteract the mood disturbance caused by too much screen time. Doing regular outdoor activities as a family can help adolescents build this all-important habit.
Way to Go Wednesday: Way to go Langley & Isabella Elg for your help in Rev. Voehl’s room, cleaning up computer parts after the cabinet housing them collapsed. Your help with this overwhelming task was so greatly appreciated! Also Way to Go Emily Beagle for turning in a lost hundred dollar bill at Water Fest on Saturday. The owner was very appreciative!!
Today is thankful Thursday - We know it never feels good to lose something and are very grateful when lost items are found. Mrs. Decker wants to thank Mr. Fernando for locating her keys yesterday and all of the people who helped search. Speaking of lost items, the cups are multiplying in lost and found… come see what is yours and re-claim it before it’s donated.
Today is Fun Fact Friday. In honor of senior grad bash at Universal tonight, here’s a little info about roller coasters. A group of guys went on 74 roller coasters in 24 hours. They broke the world record. In a single day, the four friends went to 10 parks in four U.S. states, traveling by helicopter between them. They did it to raise $40,000 for the Children's Miracle Network. Sadly, our seniors won’t have a chance to break that record tonight, but they will have fun!
Parents and Students- Please feel free to submit for any of these categories!!! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSerigKeK1qTBIjkmbmP3L-1Kc-_UZN_mXXPKqL3uyfngb1MGg/viewform?usp=sf_link
Mindset Matters!
For those who followed along last year, these are updated for a new year. Enjoy these short videos that illustrate the point. There are also parent newsletter related to this mindset attached.
Mindset 6- Live to Give
Lesson 6.3 Receive Gracefully
Wonderful video about the power of kindness and compliments video here:
Street Compliments | SoulPancake Street Team Street Compliments | SoulPancake Street Team
Go a little deeper:
1. Why is it difficult to give and receive compliments gracefully?
2. What are the benefits of compliments to both the giver and receiver?
3. What is the greatest compliment that you have ever received, and who was the giver of that compliment?
I truly believe in this work and it is needed more than ever in the lives of our teens... but honestly, it is GREAT info for us all! I welcome your feedback. Call me 772-419-5751 or email me ljudd@irsc.edu
