Brown Bears
Your Weekly Update from Brown Elementary School
Mr. McCann's Message
Dear Families,
Welcome Back to school! We have had a fantastic first few days here at Brown Elementary and look forward to many more. I have watched students playing name games, singing songs, filling out interest surveys, creating "If I were a Superhero" cards, reading great pictures books, discussing what makes a great friend, and more.
The first few days of school are filled with excitement as students get to know the school, their classroom, the teacher and the new friends around them.
I look forward to a wonderful year of learning with your children.
Best,
Aidan McCann, Principal
Five Things You Need to Know
1 - PTO
We have a vibrant and active PTO here at Brown Elementary. I encourage you to look at their website in order to learn more about what they do and to see what opportunities there are to get involved.
Here is the PTO website.
Their first event is a Welcome Back Ice Cream Social on September 10th. For more information, please see the flyer that went home in backpacks as well as the website above.
Also, the PTO puts out a student directory each year. If you want your child's name and information in the directory you need to fill out a form at the Directory Sign-Up Link. This is completely optional. If you don't put your child's name in that directory, your name will not be there.
2 - ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL
About a week ago, I shared out detailed information regarding arrival and dismissal. I am sharing it again here for those who have questions about what the beginning and end of the day look like. Here is the information that went out last week - LINK. Please review if you have questions.
3 - PUP PATROL
Thank you to those families who have filled out PUP Patrol. We still have a number of families that have not submitted a default plan for dismissal. If you have not done so yet, please go to this LINK for directions on how to submit one.
4 - REQUIRED YEARLY FORMS
Thank you to all the families that have completed the Required Yearly Forms. We appreciate your cooperation.
If your form has not yet been completed, you would have received an email earlier today. The message will be from noreplyregistration@powerschool.com and the Subject line will read: Natick's PowerSchool Parent Portal and Required Yearly Forms
Please complete this form as soon as possible.
5 - MUSIC SHOWCASE
The Music Department is hosting a Showcase for students and families to learn more about the music offerings here in Natick. I encourage you to see what is available and consider coming to the showcase. Here is the LINK to the flyer.
All the best to our families,
Aidan McCann, Principal
