Summary
Scott is a normal geek who is about to start his first year of high school. His gets even more complicated when his mom tells him that he is going to be a big brother. Throughout the book Scott, goes through life's problems without any trouble. Along with all the pressures of being in high school are the usual events Scott has to face such as: not getting killed by the football team, fitting in,and getting a girl to notice him. This book is a guide on how to survive high school, by Scott.
Coming of age
Coming of age is of big focus in this book. In the story Scott realizes that the real world isn't all its cracked up to be, that is a dark and dirty place that will be you to your knees and keep you there if you let it. Scott has to choose, either to stay a wimpy kid afraid of the real world and all its problems or he could grow up and take responsibility. He has to grow up because his parents are going to need all the help they can get with having a baby and all.
