Although you could reach out to me anytime, I will be holding office hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10 to 11. Tuesdays and Thursdays I will be close to the computer from 1 to 2. I am also available to meet with students or parents via Google meet.
Optional activities to enhance students social and emotional well-being
One activity, that I frequently encourage children to participate in, is journal writing. This is a great way for kids to get more in touch with their feelings. When children are able to label their feelings accurately, they are better able to control any upset feelings. It also can create meaningful conversations between families and their children. If your child already uses a journal, great, your child can continue to make daily additions to it! If not, please encourage your child to pick up a notebook, or whatever paper you have laying around. Kids tend to become more invested in journaling when they have some ownership in creating it. Encourage them, to spend time decorating the cover. Children can write sentences, or draw pictures detailing what they did each day, in addition to what types of feelings they may have had that day.
