They come here, curious to learn about our culture and excited to share theirs. ASSE provides mentoring for you and them. They are covered by insurance and have their own spending money. Isi (Germany) & Tanya (Ukraine)
2011 - 2012: Both girls acted in Bye Bye Birdie and helped around the community via the RRHS Leadership Academy. Isi learned to play golf and Tanya sang in the choir.
Lars (Germany) & Dmitry (Russia)
2012 - 2013: Lars is passiona
te about American football and played with the RRHS team. Dmitry is brilliant and worked on both his Russian studies, as well as American classes.
Olea (Moldova) & Tianjian (China)
2013 - 2014: Olea stepped away from her musical talents while here, to learn to play soccer for RRHS. Tianjian is a gifted artist and is planning to return to America this fall, for college.
NOTE: I am a single, empty-nester so I choose to host two at a time. They support each other, especially in the beginning, when they are adjusting to our culture. Non-traditional families, as well as traditional ones, make great host families!
