A Note From Mr. Christ
Dear Paddock Families,
I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. As the weather continues to fluctuate between hot and cold, please make sure to double check that your student has the appropriate clothing for recess. On warm days, students often take their coat out to recess and remove it while they are playing. Writing your student's name on the tag of their jacket will help us return it to the proper owner if it gets left outside.
Also, if, for a day, you are changing the way your child goes home (ex. usually rides the bus but car rider today) please let the teacher and/or main office know as soon as possible. If you call or email at dismissal time, the main office and teachers can be very busy and may not be able to answer the phone or read your message. Thank you for your help with this.
Have a great week!

Student Pick Up Safety
- Do not park in the handicap spots unless you have a handicap sign in your car. This has caused problems with visitors that need these spots.
- Do not park in front of the building or in the bus lane during dismissal.
- It is against the law to pass a bus that has its stop sign out. It is also extremely unsafe to drive past our buses while students are loading. Please refrain from doing this.
- Use the car loop. I understand that people do not want to wait in the line, but driving into the parking lot, past buses, or parking illegally is unsafe for students and adults.
Thank you for your understanding as we work to ensure afternoon pickup runs smoothly and safely for everyone.
STEAM Fair
Come join us this Wednesday, March 8, at Paddock School, from 6:30 to 8:00pm for our very own STEAM Fair. It will feature a bunch of great Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math hands-on activities by various community families and organizations! Activities will include putt putt golf, 3d printing, bristlebots, coding, LEGOs, robotics, virtual reality, and much more. The event is FREE and brought to us by our Paddock PTA.
We also still need a few volunteers to help make the event run smoothly. Please consider signing up here. We are looking forward to seeing you Wednesday!
5Essentials Parent Survey
Throughout District 15, parents, students (4th-8th grade during school hours) and teachers are being asked to complete the Illinois 5Essentials Survey to gather data related to five indicators that can be targeted to improve important student outcomes, including attendance and state test score gains. The 5Essentials Survey asks questions about:
- Effective Leaders
- Collaborative Teachers
- Involved Families
- Supportive Environments
- Ambitious Instruction
Parent input is an extremely valuable part of this survey and all responses are completely anonymous. In order for schools to receive the results of the parent feedback, at least 20% of parents must complete the survey (currently we are at 15%). The parent survey takes about 10 minutes. Please consider visiting the the 5Essentials Survey website and selecting the parent survey to begin. Thank you for your valuable feedback.

Student Registration 2023-2024
Online student registration for the 2023-2024 school year is open. Please visit the District registration page to start this process. All returning students MUST be registered by August 1, 2023, or they will be disenrolled from CCSD15.
Students who have not completed their registration requirements will not receive a classroom assignment. Registration is the first step in getting ready for the upcoming school year. After you register your child online you need to:
- Pay student fees. Our student fee webpage outlines the District’s student fee structure and the three ways fees can be paid. Information regarding fee waivers for families that qualify is also found on this page of our website.
- New families to the district, kindergarten students, families with a lease, and families that were flagged by our third-party residency verification system are required to provide proof of residency to complete the registration process. Our residency webpage outlines the documents you will need to provide to prove residency.
All three steps of the enrollment process (register, student fees, residency) must be completed prior to the start of the school year.
LOOKING FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION?
- For step-by-step written registration instructions, please view our Campus Parent Document.
