Staff Appreciation - Monday 5/7- Staff Gift
This year for Staff Appreciation, I wanted to try something a little different. On Monday 5/7 (weather permitting) a company called "Detail Kings" will be in our staff parking lot to wash your car (exterior) and make your tires sparkle. All you have to do is show up to work and park in the staff lot. Get your car as dirty as you want this weekend! They will be arriving around 8:45 a.m. and will stay until all the cars are done!
(If you prefer not to have your vehicle washed, please let me know and we'll be sure that it gets skipped over.)
Please accept this free car wash as a small token of thanks for your endless dedication to our students and families! You are so appreciated!

Friday's Matt Wilhelm Assembly Preview
Below is the message I received from Matt Wilhelm, who will be here performing for us on Friday 5/11:
I am looking forward to our upcoming shows.
If you really want your students to buy into my message and program, it's usually a good idea to show them a short video the day before or the morning of the show. Feel free to show the following video over morning announcements or forward on to teachers to show in the classroom: https://youtu.be/Lzj9XxmMp9I
The teachers often look for videos on YouTube prior to the show, but don't always find the best ones. This way they can show the best video :)
Thanks, and looking forward to performing at your school.
Matt
Supporting our Community Burn Victims
After hearing of the tragic events that took place on Saturday, with former student Korryn Bachner, and other Glenbard East students. We have an opportunity here at Hammerschmidt to help. Anna hasn't heard back from the Teachers in Texas since we made our purchase at the beginning of the year. We have a total balance of $787.40, that we would like to donate to them. If you are so inclined, you could donate additional funds, to Anna (cash please) by May 11th. The Bachner family has a long road ahead of them, and I'd like to think that the Hammerschmidt family we are played some role in supporting them.
I have also provided the links below to the pages that are supporting the victims from the Lombard Community:
