Participants should be ages 13-18, interested in developing customer service and communication skills, and excited to apply their initiative and creativity to contribute to the library and their community. To learn more about this year's TAG program before signing up and to offer your input on what you'd like to do as a TAG volunteer, you can register for an info session on Thursday May 13, from 6-7 pm: tinyurl.com/TAGinfo21. If you have questions or are interested but unable to attend the info session, contact Tom Jorgenson at Thomas.Jorgenson@co.dakota.mn.us.
This year's program will have both in-person and virtual/hybrid options. The in-person option will be an opportunity for TAG members to help kids and families sign up for the library's Summer Discovery reading program for three weeks in June and early July. The virtual/hybrid option will last for 5 weeks in July and August, with a variety of activities introduced by weekly Zoom meetings that TAG members can complete from home, virtually, or in a hybrid format. Possible activities include leading a craft activity for kids, making suggestions for books that the library should purchase, creating book displays that highlight a topic of teen's choice, and more. TAG members will have a say in helping to build the programs and activities that are most interesting to them.
