This program has a different theme each week, but all of the themes are centered around giving back to our community and making a difference in people’s lives. No sign up is required—you can join this program at any time!

BASIC DRAWING 1, 2, & 3 - 2 pm Saturday, August 5, 12, 19
Have you always wanted to express yourself through drawing but felt lacking in skills? Come to Basic Drawing Classes offered over three Saturdays in August and learn how to unleash your creative spirit!

JOB READINESS: COVER LETTERS – 6 pm Tuesday, August 8
Searching for employment is easier once you learn the skills needed to effectively present yourself to employers. A free ongoing series, instructed by business woman, Monique Dennis. This session, learn how to create effective cover letters.

ANIME & MANGA CLUB (age 12 – Young Adult) 5 pm Wednesday August 9 & 23
For teens and young adults who are interested in watching and discussing different anime series. We enjoy an activity, snacks and new episodes each week! No sign up required.

CHESS CLUB (all ages) - 3 pm Friday, August 11 & 4 pm Monday, August 28
This club is open to children and adults of all ages and abilities, and new members are always welcome. Hope to see you there! All levels of chess players welcome!

Bring your knitting needles, crochet hooks and yarn! Share projects and get some new ideas! New members are always welcome!

Genealogy and Local History Coordinator, Lillian Wingate will review how to use the ancestry.com website in its updated format and will show the difference between the Library version and the paid subscription. Sign up to reserve your space.

Get ready for the total eclipse of the Sun coming up on Monday, August 21 and visible from right here in Statesboro! Learn how to experience the event safely.

Come see all the Makers Space technology the library has to offer! Various stations will be set up so that you can see the machines & technology in action.

JUST MOVE!: BOLLYWOOD DANCE– 5 pm Thursday, August, 31
Learn new and assorted ways to get moving and stay motivated in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This month, Damali Bacchus will get us moving with Bollywood dance moves.
