Ms. Meade Recommends
At this time of year, with spring just around the corner and the Easter Bunny coming to town to deliver his baskets, I always enjoy revisiting those classic characters, Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny by Beatrix Potter. Potter's stories are set in the beautiful Lake District of England in the early 1900's and have delighted children for over 100 years. Her stories are as welcome as spring itself. Check some out from the library today!

Help! I'm a Prisoner in the Library by Eth Clifford
In this story, two sisters accidentally get locked into a curious old house that has been turned into a children's library, during a terrible blizzard. That would be bad enough, but then the electricity goes out and the phones are knocked out by the storm. They will have to stay overnight until the librarian comes back in the morning, but then the moaning begins. What else is with them in the dark, deserted library? Will someone find them before it's too late!
