September Updates for BRIJHS
September 1, 2021
Smile!
Tomorrow we will have picture day. If you would like to order online, please go to https://inter-state.com/ and use the code 59227CB. If your student is absent or quarantined, there will be retake day on October 18.
On September 10, we will host our annual flu shot clinic at school. This year, all students that are over the age of 3 are eligible. Consent forms were sent home, but if you need a new copy you can find it here: https://5il.co/ybku. We ask that all forms be turned in by Septeber 8.
On Septeber 20 and 21 there will be guests from the organization Growing Strong to coduct the presentations on Erin's Law. This is a mandatory training for students to help prevent sexual abuse. The curriculum is age-appropriate for each grade level. An opt out will come home the week before if you do not want your child to participate.
Student Council is also getting ready to kick off for the year. This is open to all students in Jr. High. The first meeting will be September 8 during Intervention/Study Hall. Students will meet in Mrs. Weedman's classroom. Any student in 7th or 8th grade is welcome to attend.
It has been a great start to the 2021-2022 school year. This is a new format for me to communicate with parents, so any feedback is appreciated.
