Hello Bobcat Families! We cannot wait to see you all tonight at our Festival of Trees in the New Leb Bus loop - what a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season safely and together. Magnet Application - NOW OPEN!
Do you have friends in other areas of town who are interested in New Lebanon School? You can live ANYWHERE in Greenwich and come to New Lebanon School! Our MAGNET SCHOOL APPLICATION is now live on our website and is DUE on February 1, 2022. Our Magnet Open Houses will be virtual on January 20th at 9:00am and January 20th at 6:30pm.
Save the Date - Tree Lighting Outdoor Celebration
Saturday, December 4th, 3-5 p.m.
The Friends of the Byram Shubert Library invite you to join us for a free festive afternoon. Performance by “Gunsmoke”. Music by the children from Hamilton Avenue and New Lebanon Schools. A visit with Santa. Children must be supervised by an adult. COVID regulations will be in effect. Presents to take home…and more! You can attend this event at 3pm and then head over to our Festival of Trees at New Leb (see below) at 4pm!
PICTURE DAY - RE-TAKES ARE ALMOST HERE!
Retake day proofs will be delivered to the school next week. Parents will be able to view both photos (original and retake) and choose the one they like best. You should expect to receive your child's retake proof by end of next week.

Pre-K Applications Coming Soon! Do you have a child turning 3 or 4?
For the 2022-2023 school year, the Pre-K applications will come out in December 2021 and the deadline is around January 10th (final date coming soon). Applications will be posted on the Pre-K website: https://www.greenwichschools.org/teaching-learning/preschool

We Need YOU to Help
Help with sales & students is needed the week of 12/6-10 Monday through Friday after school
Any time you can lend, even a half hour, would be appreciated.
Help packing up is needed from 3:30PM on Friday, 12/10
Book Fairs shopping times are every day after school. We need your HELP by assisting student customers with checking prices, getting their money together, and helping bag purchases. Volunteers must wear masks & show proof of full Covid vaccination
HOURS
Tax-free shopping. Student shopping times:
Mon. & Tues. 12:45-2pm; Wed. & Thurs. 2:45-4pm; Fri. 2:45-3:30pm (& during school by arrangement with teacher) *EVENING shopping 12/8 6-7:15pm
Adults showing proof of full Covid vaccination may shop on Wed. night

From Fred Camillo - Winter coat giveaway
The Board of Human Services and the Brunswick School have collected new and gently used winter coats for adults and children that will be distributed next week to Greenwich residents. No pre-registration required.
This event is open to all Greenwich residents regardless of citizenship status and participants do not need to be clients of the Greenwich Department of Human Services. If you have questions regarding the coat distribution, please email GDHS@greenwichct.org.
Distribution will be in the Town Hall meeting room from 2 to 4 p.m. December 6; 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., December 9 and 10 a.m. to noon on December 10.

Join us for an interactive workshop where we will demonstrate and help you practice effective strategies you can apply right away at home to foster independence, responsibility and positive behaviors in your children.
After this session you will walk away with:
o A clear understanding of the brain-mind-body-behavior connection.
o A set of effective strategies to avoid power struggles and prevent challenging behaviors.
o Research-based skills to help your children become more resilient and independent.

The Listening Community was created for parents of children with special needs. It is a place for parents to connect and support other parents.
The meetings are currently conducted virtually and will be held as follows:
- Wednesday mornings from 9:30-10:30 AM
- Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 PM
