Salk Seahawk Scoop
Week of 9/25/2022
Seahawk Walk & Salk Fest - This Friday, September 30!
Salk Fest is Friday, we have one week to hit our $25,000 school goal! We are currently at $8,024 as of 9.25.
On September 30 every student will participate in a student-only event during school hours. Students will spend 30 minutes walking in the soccer field next to the school and have the option to participate in a blow up obstacle course.
Families are invited to join us from 4:30-7:00 p.m. for a celebration with pizza, hot dogs, popcorn and snow cones to purchase. We will also draw the winners for the bonus raffle.
There are prizes for both students and classes that raise the most money. The school and PTO use the funds to provide a variety of activities throughout the school year to all of our students.
Visit https://app.99pledges.com/fund/salkelemen1 and search for your student(s) to find their personalized donation page.
We are still looking for helping hands in many areas. Click on this link to find out where you could help!
Also, for the Salk Walk we are asking the students to wear either their class colors or Salk Gear.
Parking Lot Reminders
Safety is a top priority at Salk and we can all use these important reminders from time to time.
Parents dropping their children off every morning may utilize the drop off loop at our main entrance. Please do not park in the loop. If you need to park in order to help your child into school, please find a spot in the parking lot.
PLEASE REFRAIN FROM PARKING ANYWHERE OTHER THAN DESIGNATED PARKING SPACES, this includes, parking in handicapped parking spots unless your handicap parking pass is properly displayed.
We continue to have a good relationship with our neighbors at St. Ronald’s Church. They graciously allow us to use their parking lot. Please use designated parking spots there as well and refrain from parking in the main driving lane leading behind the church.
Thank you for your support in keeping our Seahawks safe in our parking lots.
