Jump Rope for Heart
JRFH @ WLM
From February 12th-16th physical education classes will be participating in our 11th consecutive Jump Rope for Heart event. In the past 10 years our school has raised a total of $30,609.66 for the American Heart Association in connection with this event. For the second year in a row, we are dedicating our event to Nicholas Ogden, a special young man, with a very special heart! In addition to the funds raised for the AHA, our school also benefits by receiving gift certificates to purchase equipment for our PE classes.
Kick-Off Week
Starting the week of January 22-26 students will be introduced to this year's event. Scare Squad is the theme and students will be given a packet of information about the event. The packet includes instructions for raising money online, a donation collection envelope for any cash or checks, and a directions for how to use the newly created Jump Rope for Heart app. The following links will get you to the American Heart association Home Page and the Jump Rope for Heart registration page.
Wrap-Up
Our Jump Rope for Heart program will conclude on Friday, February 16th. Please have all donations turned into Mr. Smith on or before that date. Please make sure all checks are made out to the American Heart Association. For more information or for any questions, please email ksmith@southerntioga.org. Thank you for your help and your continued support of this great cause!
