Thank you Premier El Paso East Families for all that you do!

WHAT IS PARENT ENGAGMENT

What is Parent Engagement? Parent & Family Engagement is in place when there is a shared and continuous responsibility for student achievement and learning between the family and the school. It is vital to student success. Engagement involves: • personal two-way communication between school and families • educational support at home • shared decision making and setting of plans, goals, and outcomes • welcoming schools that are parent resource sites

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A TITLE I SCHOOL?

Title I, Part A of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) provides financial assistance to states and school districts to meet the needs of academically at-risk students. The goal of Title I is to provide extra instructional services, resources and activities that support students who are identified as those who would benefit from Title I services the most in order to meet the state’s challenging performance standards in mathematics, reading, and writing.
