IMPORTANT End of Day Dismissal Procedures

It is VERY important that your child’s dismissal procedure remain consistent, however, we understand that there may be times that these plans will need to be changed. If you must change the way your child is to be dismissed, we ask that all changes be made in writing. Please send a note to your child’s teacher. They will then inform the office. Telephone calls will only be accepted on an emergency basis.

Please note: It is very difficult to relay messages to classroom teachers after 3:00 pm. If you have an emergency, please call the school office at your earliest convenience. We thank you in advance for your cooperation during our Dismissal Process.

Early Dismissals Count Against Student Attendance

All early dismissals, regardless of the time of day, count against your child's attendance. If your child has an appointment, please send a note to the teacher in the morning. Last minute pick-ups, without prior notification, can disrupt the education of your student as well as others.

Absence Procedures

Just a reminder...When your child will be absent from or tardy to school, parents are required to notify the school by telephone the morning of the absence. A voice mailbox is available 24 hours a day for this purpose. Please call 614-834-2601 to report your child absent/tardy at your earliest opportunity. If school personnel have not been notified of an absence, a telephone call will be placed either to home or to the parent’s place of employment.
