Week 6
We hope that you had a chance to connect with your child's teacher for a conference and gain a better understanding of their present levels, strengths, and areas to improve.
We appreciate your flexibility this week with our change in dismissal times.
Next week, we are back to our regular bell schedule.

Arrival Updates & Information
In the morning, our school gates open at 7:50. The bell rings at 8:15 for students to go to their classroom. The gates close at 8:17 and instruction begins at 8:20.
Our arrival procedure will run smoothly if all parents are following the same expectations. If dropping off students in front of the school by car, students should:
- Be ready to exit the car by themselves (parents, please stay in the car)
- Have all of their belongings ready (backpack, water bottle, mask, etc.)
- Be exiting on the passenger side (sidewalk) of the car
If any of these are not being followed, our system does not run smoothly, which creates an unsafe environment (and frustrated parents!).
If drivers need additional time to drop off, we encourage them to legally park on the street and students can walk on to campus.
Signs are posted for drivers going either direction on Castle Rock Rd. that U-Turns are not allowed.
Dismissal Updates & Information
Dismissal & student pick-up has improved SO much since the first day of school! Thank you for your flexibility and for all working together to help pick-up run safely and efficiently.
Parents picking up by car in the front of the school, displaying your child's name on the dashboard of the car helps us to call out student's names as you approach. This especially helps with our 1st and 2nd grade students who can't see you approaching from their spot on the grass.
Daily pick-up expectations:
Please communicate your pick-up spot to your children, and keep it consistent! Each day we are trying to connect students to parents between the front and back gates.
Students, parents, and staff are expected to use the crosswalk at the sidewalk, and NOT cut through the parking lot, in the bus lane.
Drivers picking up in the front of the school, thank you for using the green sign with your child's name and teacher. This helps our process very much.
Parents that park in the neighborhood and walk up to the front of the school, we ask that you wait for your child in the designated area on the grass in front of the Kindergarten playground and keep the sidewalk clear. Please do not wait in the grade-level areas.
Please remember to maintain social distance from others while waiting.
Students with siblings, we ask that the older student go to their younger/youngest sibling to wait.
Families choosing to utilize the Back Gate during dismissal, please note that students not picked up by 2:50 will be brought to the Front Office. Parents will need to show I.D. and sign out their child from the Front Office as a late pick-up.
