What are elevators?
Elevators are a platform or compartment housed in a shaft for raising and lowering people or things to different floors or levels.
Who invented the elevator?
Elisha Otis was the woman that created the elevator. She was an American Industrialist who was the founder of the Otis Elevator Company.
What was the intended purpose?
The intended purpose of the elevator was to move people up taller buildings in a quicker, more manageable way.
