Finish the Year Strong!

Please encourage your students to finish the school year strong! LEAD uses a mastery based learning model combined with project work. Therefore, we require students to have every PFA and project completed to earn their credits. If your student does not have their projects and PFA's finished and have over 50% of their total work completed, they will be invited to our credit recovery summer school.

However, if they attend our summer school, they will not earn a letter grade (A, B, C, or D) for the course. Students will earn an R for recover. The R will give them credit, but will not help their GPA. If your student has less than 50% of their work completed, they will need to retake the course during a future semester if it is a graduation requirement and will earn an F.

If you have questions about the grading process at LEAD, please contact eisenmengers@parkhill.k12.mo.us.

Decision Day

Decision Day is held each year on or near May 1 – the day most colleges and universities ask that high school seniors notify them of their plans to enroll for the fall semester. Some students may choose to enter an apprenticeship or work-based learning program, go to trade or technical school, attend a community college or university.

LEAD will celebrate Decision Day on Friday, April 28th . We will have food, music, and a photobooth with props. This is a fun day for our Seniors and so neat for our underclassmen to see our Seniors celebrated! We are asking LEAD Families to help us provide door prizes to our Seniors. If you decide to donate an item, please drop it to Mrs. Graham in our front office with a marking that says “Decision Day.”

You will see several Facebook and Instagram posts from that day so be on the lookout!

Ideas of items you can donate: Gift Cards of any increment, stainless steel water bottles, blue tooth speakers, games, candy, coffee makers, compact microwave, towel sets, etc. Think of anything a future college student may need for dorm life or it could be just something like candy that they will be excited to receive. Thank you for everything you do for our students we are always blown away by your generosity!

Spotlight Night May 3rd

We love sharing the incredible work of our students. As a project based learning school, there is a ton of top quality work being produced by our students. We can't wait to share that work with the world, in person, on Wednesday evening, May 3rd. Please mark your calendars for 6:00-8:00 pm. We are looking forward to unveiling the work of some of our 9th grade Design Thinking students' mini golf course that night, in addition to seeing student art work, project work, and live presentations.

Registering for Additional Courses Offered in Summer School

If your LEAD student wants to register for summer school to take an additional course they may do so. This is for students that are “On track” and do not need our summer school to recover credit. To sign your student up for summer school for this purpose please use this link: Link for Summer School. LEAD has pushed out communication for our credit recover summer school for students from first semester who qualify already. We will push out information for students from this current semester at a later date.
