Abby's House Fund & Supply Raiser
Two middle school students, Keziah Kissi & Manuela Barroso organized and ran a donation drive and a black out (dress all in black) to bring attention to domestic violence and to support Abby's House. The event was very well supported by students and staff. Together we raised over $700 and many boxes of donations.

Cheer Tryouts: Cheer tryouts are being held Tomorrow and Monday Evenings from 5:30-7:30 pm in the activity center. Students MUST have a current physical on file with the school in order to try out. Students need to go home and come back for tryouts.
Basketball: At this time, we are planning to have boys' and girls' basketball teams for students in grades 6 & 7. We have not established tryout dates yet. When we do, students will need a current physical in order to try out.
Cold Weather- dress accordingly: Students are outside nearly every day for recess and/or phys ed. With the dropping weather, it is important that students dress appropriately. This includes hats, gloves, and jackets. We rarely cancel outdoor activities due to cold.
ALICE Training: In October, staff worked with Worcester Police Department to review our ALICE protocols in the event of an active threat in the school. Over the last 2 weeks these protocols have been reviewed with students. ALICE stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate. In the event that we were to have a drill around our ALICE protocols, we will inform families prior to this training.
Covid Vaccine Clinic: Abby Kelley will be hosting a Vaccine Clinic on December 14th for the first dose and January 4th for the second dose. Please watch for emails from Mrs. Paluk that contain the necessary information to participate.
Family Survey: Please keep a lookout over the next week or so for a brief survey in your email. We will be asking for your feedback on some key areas that we can use for our continued improvement. It would be very helpful to have high participation when the survey goes out.
Winter Break: December 22 is a half day for students and staff. Winter Break runs from December 23rd -January 2nd. School resumes on Monday, January 3rd.
