Weekly Update

Dear Families,

I hope that you all had a fun and restful Spring Break! Although I stayed in town this year, I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful weather that we had several days throughout the week. I know that many of you plan vacations months in advance, so I wanted to share some important information with you. As you book trips for the 2019-2020 school year, please be aware of the dates that District 117 has scheduled breaks and holidays. The Board of Education approved these dates for the upcoming school year in January. To access the 2019-2020 calendar, click here. We appreciate you planning around these scheduled breaks so that your child does not miss too many days of school.

Just a reminder, your child's Quarter 3 report card will be available to view online this Friday, April 5th. You will not receive a paper copy of the report card, so be sure to log into your PowerSchool Parent account to view your child's grades. Directions for creating a PowerSchool Parent account can be found at the bottom of this newsletter.

As summer approaches, District 117 is looking to hire summer crew employees. If you or someone you know may be interested in applying for one of these positions, please complete an application online. You can access the applications for seasonal summer crew and seasonal painters here.

Have a fantastic week!

Your partner in education,

Natalie Profita
