A BIG shout out to all our wonderful mom's who celebrated Mother's Day this past weekend. We'd like to also recognize all our schools' laser focused efforts to prepare our students for this STAAR testing week. We know that everyone will do well!


STAAR ASSESSMENT SCHEDULE


May 9th - STAAR Math 3rd, 4th, 6th and 7th graders

May 9th - STAAR Math retest 5th and 8th grade


May 10th - STAAR Reading 3rd, 4th, 6th and 7th graders

May 10th - STAAR Reading retest 5th and 8th grade


May 11th - STAAR Science 5th and 8th grade


May 12th - STAAR Social Studies 8th grade


May 13th - STAAR Make-Up sessions

Congratulations Garza ECHS

Eleven district students named Dell Foundation scholarship recipients.

Five of this year's eleven Dallas ISD recipients attend Trinidad "Trini" Garza Early College high School.

Congratulations Molina High School

Molina has been selected to participate in a STEM Summer Camp at Texas Tech, June 26 - July 1. Only 50 Dallas ISD students will be afforded this opportunity. Ten promising 10th and 11th graders will be in this elite group. The STEM Camp provides students with a rigorous university experience through engaged STEM academic courses/activities and leadership development.

In order to provide transitional reading data for Stockard and Molina, we will begin hosting conversations specific to 5th grade/8th grade reading levels and trending data and how we can support student transitions into middle and high school.
