Grow Your Own Leaders Masters Degree Program
If you have been teaching in Rock Hill Schools for at least three years and have decided that you’d like to begin working on a master’s degree in Educational Leadership through Winthrop University, you may be eligible to participate in a new Grow Your Own Leaders cohort starting in the Spring of 2018. This cohort will be sponsored through the Olde English Consortium, Winthrop University, and Rock Hill Schools.
The following dates are important to begin the process of applying to be a Rock Hill Schools cohort participant:
· By September 27 district application completed and submitted to the Personnel Department
· October 3-5 district interviews of applicants- the district will choose up to 5 participants
· October 9 decisions made and selected participants informed of their selection

STEM-INFUSED LEARNING SESSIONS
- Promotes deep insight in appropriate and strategic use of technology in teaching the SCCCRM standards.
- Standards-based, content specific technology applications in mathematics.
- Exceptional strategies to accelerate the use of hand-held and on-line digital tools in mathematics instruction. Note: AdvancedED Study (K-12 classrooms in 39 states) shows few classrooms in which digital tools and technology is a regular part of a student’s school experience (EdTech 2016 Technology Use Survey, September 28, 2016)
- Unique approaches to transforming current lessons using digital-based 21st Century applications.

Southern Wesleyan- Master of Education in Classroom Leadership
The Master of Education in Classroom Leadership program at Southern Wesleyan is designed for advanced professional development of educators. The program concentrates on an educational framework that supports the advancement, application and integration of relevant theory and practice within the classroom with a focus on philosophical and psychological learning theory, appropriate instructional strategies, critical thinking, contemporary issues and assessment. This program does not lead to teacher certification, however, Master of Education graduates may qualify for a pay increase for earning this advanced degree.
