Eagle's Edge
St. Therese Weekly Newsletter - September 16, 2020
All of the pieces...
Everything is finally coming together, it seems. Students are learning online and so happy to see their teachers and each other! There are some pieces that still don't fit right, but we are working together to solve the puzzle because Eagles don't ever give up!
Thank you for your incredible patience and your encouragement during this time. Every action matters - each smile, each word of encouragement, each prayer offered, is a priceless contribution towards our mission. Even through the challenges of our opening day online, our Eagles were willing to problem-solve and persevere. I'm so impressed by our students, from kindergarten through eighth grade, and I'm so proud of each and every one of them. Caring adults at home helping their students navigate this strange new world of teaching and learning - you are heroes!
We have faced COVID, closures, online school, fires and hazardous air quality, and countless unknowns, yet nothing has stopped us. We continue to laugh through the tears, and push through the obstacles - it's the true spirit of being an Eagle. Remember that with God all things are possible, and I see His hand in every blessing we encounter, both large and small. Whatever pieces we are given in this puzzle, we must all remember that our Loving God is at the center, drawing all of the other pieces into place.
I am so happy to be a piece in this puzzle with all of you!
Gratefully,
Rosemarie El Youssef
Principal, St. Therese School

SAFE & READY SCHOOLS UPDATE
Please check out the links below, or visit our website and click on the "COVID-19 Updates" tab at the top to read the latest news about school this fall.
Some details:
September 16th - 18th: 1st week of regular classes
Students will log in and follow their regular schedule of classes. School staff will be in the building to assist students and their families as needed.
September 28th: Begin limited in-person instruction with small groups
Thank you for your input! We are looking at options that best accommodate the needs of our families, but can't guarantee it will be exactly what you need. We appreciate your flexibility!
We are permitted to bring students into their classrooms in groups of no more than 10, for no longer than 2 hours each day. This time will be used to build connections with teachers and peers, receive learning support, and participate in hands-on learning experiences.
St. Therese School-Age Learning Program (daycare) - will NOT be opening
Our application was denied because the rules changed, and we are not allowed to have this program running while distance learning is in progress. I have been in contact with the Early Childhood division and we are working together towards a potential solution. Thank you for your continued patience!
