COVID-19 Update
Following Friday's announcement from The States of Guernsey Public Health, we are working on plans to welcome our students back into College.
Our teams will be in contact with these students, their employer or parents/carers individually to inform them of their revised timetables. I would like to remind you that only those students who have been invited to attend college may come in.
Our focus, as always, is to ensure that our students' qualifications, experience and progression is as good as it can be.
If students have any questions, no matter how small, they should get in touch with their tutor.
Please visit the website for full details http://www.guernseycollege.ac.gg/wp/coronavirus-updates-2/
You can find the States of Guernsey 'Exit from Lockdown' plan here.
College closure dates during May 2020
An update on our earlier announcement this month about College closure dates this week.
Following the latest Public Heath guidance things have changed. There will now be no online-learning for the whole of this week, Monday 25 May - Friday 29 May.
We would just like to remind you that students must not attend College unless they have been contacted by their tutors to tell them when to attend with revised timetables (due to new Public Health guidelines).
Online learning will resume week commencing 1 June unless your child/ward's Tutor has invited them to attend College. Students should contact their Tutor with any questions.
Qualifications Update
Visit http://www.guernseycollege.ac.gg/wp/qualifications-update/ for the latest update about the certification and assessment position relating to the range of qualifications offered at the College.
As mentioned last week, we will be updating this information regularly as we receive more details from the various awarding bodies, so please do keep checking if you couldn't find all the information you needed straight away.
Public Health
Some of our staff have been pleased to help Public Health and the Contact Tracing team over the past couple of months. Below is an article which explains what was involved.

Fundraising Updates
In last week's newsletter we shared Nico's fundraising story.
Nico (pictured below) has now raised over a fantastic £2,500 on his gofundme page for the Guernsey COVID 19 Response Appeal, making a difference to the charities which have been affected most.
Well done Nico from all at College, we are very proud of your efforts.
If you would like to contribute, you can still do so here
Jacob's fundraising walk (picture below) has raised over £1,500 for Autism Guernsey.
A great achievement, well done Jacob!

The College’s preferred method of contact with parents and carers is via email. Please add the email address of your child/ward's course Customer Liaison Officer to your list of ‘safe senders’ or to your contacts list/address book to ensure communications from them arrive directly into your inbox, rather than going into ‘junk’ or ‘spam’.
As you will be contacted directly by the relevant CLO regarding events specific to your child/ward’s course/programme area, it is important that they have an up-to-date email address for you. Their details are listed below.
