SMS Welcomes Mr. Keith Hawkins
Keith Hawkins is an international speaker that addresses over 400,000 educators, business owners, parents and students each year. Keith Hawkins is the creator of the program, “Day of
Understanding” that focuses on bringing people together through understanding and inclusion. Keith has dedicated his life and work to improving the human race by helping them strive for positive personal growth.
Students were motivated and encouraged to build a culture and community full of positivity and respect. He spoke to students about integrity, action and impact, mindset and gratefulness. The students were energized and you can see the positive effect that it made on many students.
Staff also nominated 75 students to attend a breakout leadership session after the large group, where leaders discussed ways to be confident, stand out, and impact themselves and others- the message was that all in the room have potential- its how they used this moment and other opportunities to use it (potential) for good.
Mr. Hawkins left our students with multiple thoughts: people may not remember what you say, but they will remember how you made them feel. People watch and model your actions and make habits by what they see, so help them see the good. Finally, he impacted the audience with his coin phrases: Give What You Need and Better Than Good! Mindset matters and a grateful heart go a long way. We appreciate his visit and encouragement and hope to continue this message throughout the year at SMS.

If you are interested in supporting Mara, her family has offered to have anyone interested from the Strongsville MS Community join their already existing Walk Team. The more the merrier so please feel free to share/join via this link:
