#ToroFamily
Hello Toro Family! As we end this year, I want to say thank you to everyone in our community. This has been a strange year to say the least and all of you stepped up to support our students. From students taking on the challenges of the unknown, remaining motivated and committed to learning in any environment, to staying home living through a very uncertain time in history. To all of our parents who were thrust into becoming home school teachers, zoom meeting schedulers and personal assistants for their students. To our amazing staff who on a day to day basis were reimagining what school would look like. Thank you to every one of you! This year the old adage of it "takes a village" rang more true than other years.
I am very thankful for this 8th-grade class and we are going to miss them very much. I told them many times throughout the year that they have been one of our best 8th-grade classes ever. I am SO proud of their grit and perseverance pushing through the last few months and we are saddened that we don't get to give them a proper goodbye. We are working on something to send out to all of our 8th graders in an attempt to say goodbye in a way that honors them and is something they can take with them. I feel very privileged to have gotten to see them grow these past 3 years and I know they will all do great next year in high school.
For our returning students, we are continuing to build and design plans for next year. We will keep our newsletter coming throughout the summer to keep you up to date with the most current information as it becomes available. Below you will see a button for a Distance Remote Learning Parent Survey. We would love to hear from you about how these past few weeks have gone and how we can support you better as we move into the Fall. Please click the button below. We will also be sending out an End of the Year Reflection for students to their emails. It is linked below for your preview.
We hope you all have a safe and wonderful summer. If you have not turned in your materials (textbooks, Chromebook, instrument, etc) please do so ASAP. Please reach out if you have any questions over summer, our contact information can be found below. Also, please continue to check our school website for the most current and up to date information. Take care and always remember to be safe, respectful, and responsible.
*If you know of someone who does not receive this newsletter, have them visit our school website here and fill in their email address to subscribe to it.
