Support Your Timberwolf: Fun Run!
What is Support Your Timberwolf? A great opportunity to support our children’s education. No selling! 100% of the money goes to Tiffany Ridge! Our Students have participated in a Dance-A-Thon in the fall and now it is time to enjoy a Fun Run on May 12th! Your students are raising money to purchase new playground equipment and to fund teacher grant requests for classroom projects. Park Hill funds are only available to cover a portion of the cost for these items. This fundraiser will allow 100% of the money raised to be used for our students.
What is your money used for? The money will be used towards playground equipment and teacher grants to fund classroom projects for your students. Park Hill School District has matched our fundraising dollars and our new and improved equipment is scheduled to be installed this summer!
How can you help? A $20 suggested donation amount per child will help us reach our goals, however any amount you feel comfortable donating would be appreciated. All donations benefit Tiffany Ridge students!
Our goal is to have 100% participation, with at least ONE pledge per student!
Classrooms who return all envelopes will earn a special celebration!
Now What? Students collect pledges prior to the Fun Run and record them on the pledge envelope, which will be sent home prior to the Fun Run event week. Please be sure to collect the money when the pledge is made. All pledge envelopes and money are due in the office by Friday, May 14th. The goal is to raise money for our school, participate in healthy behaviors and have some fun with our friends! Thanks for your help to make this a successful event!

Online Verification & Residency for the 21-22 school year is now open!
Every year, all Park Hill families are required to visit the Campus Parent portal to verify student demographic, health, and emergency contact information, and submit proof of residency documents for the upcoming school year Please check your mailbox – we recently mailed a letter and “Getting Started” guide so you can jump right in and get this process completed. You can access a digital copy of the guide on our website.
Note: Only a legal guardian living with a current student in their household can prove residency and complete verification for that student.

Highlighting our Pack Point Winners
At Tiffany Ridge, we use PACK Points to celebrate students who are meeting our four core expectations- Be A Problem Solver, Act Resonsibly, Care for Everyone, Keep Safe. When staff see students doing these things, they are reinforced with verbal reinforcement and a "Pack Point".
Classroom teachers also have Pack Point Menus for students to select rewards of their choice in their classroom.
Anxiety: Information for Parents
The most requested resources and information this year have been for information to ease students’ anxiety. Our world has rapidly changed, and the unknown can be scary for both adults and children. “The primary characteristic of anxiety is worry, which is fear that future events will have negative outcomes. Anxious children are much more likely than their peers to see minor events as potentially threatening.” There are several things that can be done at home to help lessen anxious thoughts and help students cope with the unknown.
Home-Based Interventions:
Be consistent in how you handle problems and administer discipline.
Be patient and be prepared to listen.
Avoid being overly critical, disparaging, impatient, or cynical.
Maintain realistic, attainable goals and expectations for your child.
Do not communicate that perfection is expected or acceptable.
Maintain consistent but flexible routines for homework, chores, activities, etc.
Accept that mistakes are a normal part of growing up and that no one is expected to do everything equally well.
Praise and reinforce effort, even if success is less than expected.
Practice and rehearse upcoming events, such as giving a speech or other performance.
Teach your child simple strategies to help with anxiety, such as organizing materials and time, developing small scripts of what to do and say to himself or herself when anxiety increases, and learning how to relax under stressful conditions.
Do not treat feelings, questions, and statements about feeling anxious as silly or unimportant.
Often, reasoning is not effective in reducing anxiety. Do not criticize your child for not being able to respond to rational approaches.
Seek outside help if the problem persists and continues to interfere with daily activities.
