May 2018

Director's Note

Who is excited for summer? My kids are counting down the days! Beautiful weather, playing outside, swimming… and reading? YES! Summer Reading at the Carlisle Public Library! Summer of 2018 is going to be awesome! We have made the process easier than ever and the prizes are amazing!

And don’t forget the entertainment. The Blank Park Zoo will be here of course, Absolute Science, and musicians. And the biggest news of all… Dan Wardell will be here on July 16th! We have Monday entertainment at the Family Life Center, family programing Thursday evenings at the library and day programs for children AND adults throughout the week.

I need to thank our rock star sponsors- General Mills, Subway, Cyber Solutions, Goodhue Nolte Insurance, Fareway, Johnny and Mikes (new this year!) and the Friends of the Carlisle Library. The Summer Reading program can happen only because of these companies. The program is entirely funded by donations and local sponsors. The city of Carlisle does not fund Summer Reading. I hope you will join us for some of the great programs we have planned. The fun starts on May 29th!

Elephant and Piggy Meet and Greet

Stacy and Dee had a great time helping out at the Elephant and Piggy meet and greet in Norwalk at the beginning of April. Over 200 Warren County residents came to meet Elephant and Piggy, listen to their stories, complete a craft and get information on various resources available in Warren County.
