Our STARS have been working very hard the last couple of weeks learning routines, developing community, and focusing on learning new curriculum. The staff at Nashua have committed to providing each student with engaging educational experiences, exposing them to various types of literature, developing number sense and mathematical problem solving skills, along with challenging Science activities!
It is an honor to serve as the principal of Nashua Elementary! Thank you for trusting us with your children each day! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher or myself directly.
As always, it's a great day to be a STAR!

Build A Strong Partnership with Your Child's Teacher Right Away
You should also find time to talk with the teacher about your child. Plan to attend parent-teacher conferences. If you can't come to this event, ask the teacher if you can meet another time.
It is also important that you share information about your child with the teacher. Open communication is one key to your child's success.
Mrs. Cobb's Corner
The state of Missouri requires that 90% of our students attend school 90% of the time. In 2017, our attendance at Nashua was 99%, that's the highest in the district! Our goal this year is to maintain that number. Thank you for helping to support us in this area!

From the President:
Hello, and welcome to a new school year!
My name is Robyn Tuwei, and I am your new PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) President. The national mission of PTA is to make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. The PTA at Nashua does this by holding many fun events throughout the school year, engaging parents in school-events (both in and out of school), and helping teachers/staff to provide fun and educational learning experiences to all children at Nashua Elementary.
I hope you’ll join us by becoming a member of the PTA, and by attending our monthly meetings.
I’m looking forward to a wonderful school year!
Sincerely,
Robyn Tuwei
Nashua PTA President
From the Book Fair Committee:
Fall Book Fair will occur October 2-5th, 2017. Times to be sent home in flier soon. Come support our school by purchasing books for your home or classroom library. Thank you!
From the Restaurant Nights Committee:
On Thursday, September 28th, let your Nashua PTA help with dinner! The 28th is the first of our Papa John's Nights this year. A portion of all sales on that day comes directly back to the Nashua PTA and therefore your students. Support Nashua PTA and have an easy dinner at the same time! Sounds like a WIN WIN to me!
From the Spirit Wear Committee:
Thank you to all who purchased our new Nashua Spirit Wear! I can't wait to see all the STARS representing! If you were unable to purchase at this time or were hoping for some cold weather gear, you're in luck. We will be again offering Nashua clothing items mid-October, just in time for chilly fall and cold winter evenings.
From the Sunshine Committee:
The PTA Sunshine Committee would like to extend congratulations to Mr. Zimmerman, our music teacher, on his wedding this summer!
