A Special Visit from an SRO!
Officer Pat, Federal Furnace Elementary's School Resource Officer, made a special visit to classrooms last month to introduce himself and share some favorite books.
Supreme Judicial Court in Action
Criminal Justice students from North and South got a chance to meet and talk with the seven justices comprising the Supreme Judicial Court. Read more about this incredible real-world experience here!
Little Engineers
Little ones and their families got a chance to explore 3D printing, robotics, circuits, wind tunnels, a drone, and much more with Plymouth Family Network and PCIS technology teachers and students. An exciting event during Massachusetts STEM Week!
Yellow Tulip Project
Project 351's Newest Ambassador
Congratulations to Alyssa McKay who was chosen as this year's Project 351 representative. Alyssa will represent PSMS during a year of inspirational service, empowering leadership training, and teamwork with a statewide network of friends.
2nd Annual Children's Business Fair
Over 270 5th-grade students took part in this year's second annual Plymouth Children's Business Fair! Our young entrepreneurs debuted their innovative, delicious, and creative products and services to a large crowd of interested and supportive customers.
One of the best parts about the Children's Business Fair has been the participation of our high school DECA Marketing students. This year, Plymouth South High School marketing students not only volunteered their time as mentors, sharing valuable insight with our 5th-grade entrepreneurs, but they also attended the fair and recognized a handful of students for their exceptional efforts as business owners with special awards. Plymouth South Opens Food Bank for Students
We are so proud of Plymouth South High's newest initiative this year! Tucked away in what used to be the large safe in the school bank, now sits brand new shelving built by Construction students stocked with groceries and other goods for students to take home on the weekends when needed. Strengthening the Bond with our Sister-city, Plymouth UK!
Our Plymouth, UK friends traveled to Massachusetts for a week of workshops, performances, exploring historical Plymouth, watching the Plymouth Marching Band, and even experiencing an American high school day. Before returning home, UK's Legacy Choir joined our high school vocal groups for a spectacular performance! Amy Strohschneider - Plymouth Community Intermediate School
Each year, the Plymouth Public Schools' staff is invited to nominate a colleague for the district's Inspiration Award. Five remarkable staff members were honored at this year's Opening Day ceremony, including Ms. Amy Strohschneider, Social Studies Educator at Plymouth Community Intermediate School.

November is Diabetes Awareness Month and we are inviting our school community to wear BLUE on Monday, November 14th to show support to all students and staff who are affected. Follow along our social media as we share important resources and a powerful video from EDTV. Our school nurses throughout the district will be educating students all month long and our friends at South Shore Action for Hope will be sharing value information as well. November’s Gratitude Mile Challenge
November’s Gratitude Mile Challenge is well underway! Hosted by our Elementary PE and Health department, this annual event encourages staff and families to focus on reflection, connection, fresh air, and activity all month long!

An Evening With Matthew Cappucci: A Storm-Chasing Weather Nerd
Mark your calendars and grab your tickets for a very special event!
Matthew Cappucci got his start in the Plymouth Public Schools. Today, he is an on-air meteorologist at FOX5DC in Washington D.C. Matthew also produces content for the MyRadar app, publishes daily articles in The Washington Post, and makes regular appearances on NPR, BBC News, DW News, and SkyNews Arabia.

PSHS Lights of Hope
The Lights of Hope is a wonderful annual event put on by the Plymouth South High School Marketing students to benefit the Cancer Center at BID-Plymouth.
The Plymouth community is invited to purchase a luminary to dedicate to a loved one. Bags will be sold in the main lobby of all Plymouth elementary schools, middle schools and Plymouth South High School. Luminaries will be on display at the annual Lights of Hope event on December 2nd at the Plimoth Grist Mill tonight from 5:30-7pm. We hope to see you there as it's always such a beautiful sight to see.
Additionally, PSHS Marketing will be hosting a Dine to Donate fundraising event at Texas Road House on November 22nd. Follow Lights of Hope on Facebook and Instagram for more updates!
The Lending Library is Back!
The Lending Library is back with lots of fun in store. Join PPS Title I for grab-and-go snacks, arts and crafts, and a free book. Read more about our Lending Library and the resources and opportunities it provides to Plymouth families.
The next Lending Library is November 15th at Hedge Elementary School, 3:30-5:30 PM.
PSHS Theatre Guild presents "The Laramie Project"

Redistricting Update & Meeting
At the November 21st School Committee meeting, PPS administration will provide an update on the Plymouth Public Schools Redistricting Plan. The Plymouth Community is invited to attend the November 21st meeting to ask questions and to hear updates. Kinship Club
The Boys and Girls Club is hosting a kinship social club meeting on the third Tuesday of each month. Any caregivers such as grandparents, aunts/uncles, next of kin who are raising children are invited to join their next meeting on November 15th for an opportunity to chat, have coffee and socialize. Please know this for caregivers only and no childcare will be provided. For any questions, please call the club at 508-746-6070.

Plymouth Family Resource Center
The Plymouth Family Resource Center, located on Court Street, has been such a valuable asset to our community. From peer support groups, parent education, budgeting and financial assistance, virtual playgrounds, and more, they continue to provide a wide variety of resources to families throughout Plymouth.

Plymouth Family Network
The Plymouth Family Network is an outstanding resource providing support to families with young children and expectant parents living in the town of Plymouth. PFN offers referral services, preschool/childcare guidance, early screenings, and free playgroups and parent enrichment opportunities.
