SWS Update: February
Happy Valentines Day!
It's Already February!!!!
WOW!! Are things really moving quickly all of a sudden, or is it just me?
Thanks to PTO, we had an awesome assembly recently, and the kids had fun learning about Outer Space with Caitlyn from The Franklin Institute!
Also, there was some pretty serious BINGO action here the other night with a packed house! And, yes, it is ok that elementary school Bingo on a Friday night is the highlight of your weekend!!
Mr. Medley helped to install our new PBIS banners around the school, as another visual reminder of our expectations for positive behaviors...give the man a ladder and a drill, and look out!
Keep scrolling down for lots of info, especially about Spring Conferences in March!
Thanks for your support,

CHANGES IN PROCEDURE
From now on, please make sure all CHANGES IN DISMISSAL PLANS are communicated BEFORE NOON on any given day. Email the teacher, and include Mrs. MacLeod ( dmacleod@wcasd.net ) and Mrs. Pitt ( mpitt@wcasd.net ). If you do not get a reply by 1:00, call the office (484-266-2202). When we get changes late in the day, it causes anxiety in the kids and the adults!!
Early dismissals should take place no later than 3:10. We are required to track all early dismissals and issue letters after 8 occurrences. Please do not sign your child out early just to avoid the car line at the end of the day--the car line moves remarkably fast--please be patient!!
Let me know if you have any questions!

Each year, Mrs. Doyle and Mr. Dando screen students for Vision, Hearing, Body Mass Index, and Scoliosis, depending on their grade level.
Those results are now available. Log into the PARENT PORTAL, click on the 'health screening tab' along the left hand side of the parent page, and you should be able to see your child's information.

Rugby in WCASD!
Rugby has been played by high school student athletes in WCASD since 1997 -- now, players grouped by grades 5th - 7th (youth); 8th and 9th (junior); and 10th - 12th (senior) have the opportunity to learn and play one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States! This year, we have 15 youth players practicing twice a week and will be playing games starting March 15th. Learn more about this amazing WCASD-supported club sport by visiting us online at www.westchesterrugby.org.
We are also hosting a free pizza and video night at Rustin High School's cafeteria on Friday, February 7th at 7:30 p.m. This event is open to anyone interested. We will show a game and have coaches available to answer questions about the program. Please e-mail us at theclub@westchesterrugby.org if you will be joining our event.
We hope your family will join our Wolf Pack!
