On the TRAIL - for Mustang Families
Jan. 11-15
We are MT - MUSTANG STRONG!
Happy Week 2.
Great job everyone on a successful start to Term 3!
We have faced it all, ridiculously hot temps and smoke-filled days and now icy cold just barely avoiding the rain days! Yet, there is a group of our staff who non-stop sign up every time to help do this essential duty and we are so grateful to them. We also truly appreciate all of you who were able to attend during the designated times. We know you are busy and we are thankful to you all for your patience and for taking time out to get these items to help our Mustangs be successful. AND we loved to seeing our Mustangs faces in the drive thru! We miss you!
If you missed it and still need items, please see the section below to find out how to request your textbooks.
This week begins the very important events and lessons for your students and our future Mustangs to learn about the courses and offerings we have before they choose classes. We encourage you to attend these virtual events.
It is also student ASB election week culminating in students voting for their representatives via 5 Star.
Don't forget to be involved in our school. In addition to partnering with families for success in each classroom, there are other opportunities even in the virtual environment that help us to improve and partner with you.
Families and students will have upcoming opportunities including but not limited to:
- Join us as we continue to participate in our own self-study to be submitted to the Accreditation Committee for the Western Association of Colleges and Schools in preparation for a committee visit in the Fall of 2021. Watch for more information about how to participate coming soon.
- Participate in the MT Regional Equity Coalition Listening Sessions coming soon in January
- Participate in any surveys - we are currently analyzing data from the LCAP/Distance Learning Needs survey - thank you to those who gave input
- EL families should participate in the upcoming ELAC meetings to give input/feedback
Students:
- Join our clubs, activities and athletics on the StudentHUB.
- Voice your suggestions on the StudentHUB in the suggestion box.
- Join the Student Equity Council - email Mariah Houston or Pricila Ortega to join. SEC began in 2019 with the purpose of developing an understanding of equity and social justice issues and to develop advocacy and leadership skills to take solution-oriented action on equity issues in our school community.
We will continue to do our best to provide opportunities to you and we look forward to the days we can be physically together as well.
And as always, we are here for you! If you need anything, don't hesitate to reach out and we will do our best to support you.
Stay safe and healthy and have a great week!

Did your student miss out on textbook/materials distribution?
Watch for information from Ms. Stacy Antonopoulos, MTHS library teacher. There will be a way to request books and make an appointment.
Why do I need an appointment?
Last term over 75 students requested books and after our work to gather them, they never came to pick the books up.
So, you must set an appointment to pick them up with her in addition to the request. This helps us to utilize our resources appropriately.
Thank you for your help.
