Diabetes is a problem with your body that causes blood sugar levels to rise higher than normal.
Another word for diabetes is hyperglycemia.
Type 2 diabetes does not allow your body to use insulin, which is called insulin resistance.
You can get type 2 diabetes when you start to get over weight and stop taking care of yourself.

Type 2 diabetes is the most common for adults.
When it affects children, it is mostly childhood obesity.
There is no cure for type 2 diabetes except for eating healthier.
Sometimes it requires therapy.
