Cuidense,

Lisa Dailey, Principal

Principal's Message

Greetings Hazelbrook families,

I hope you all had a nice spring break. As we headed into the break, we saw an increase in behavior that doesn’t align with our vision around being safe, responsible, and kind. Unfortunately, this is typical before extended breaks as the anticipated disruption can lead to stress and anxiety for some of our students. I am happy to report this week has been going much better and it has been nice seeing everyone again.

We have incredible students who are doing really great things which is why we are bringing back an old tradition of “Tie Tuesday”. Additionally, students who have demonstrated growth and maintained at grade level on the IReady will be recognized with a treat and certificate.

SBAC testing begins next week so please encourage your students to do their very best, eat a nutritious breakfast, and get plenty of sleep. In addition to the IReady test, we use SBAC scores to offer interventions to best support students in their classes so it is very important they try their hardest.

Lastly, I hope you can make it to the Lion King, JR on Thursday or Friday! It’s another way we as a community can celebrate and recognize the talent our students have!

Take care,

Lisa Dailey, Principal

Tualatin Library Teen Room

Tualatin Public Library welcomes YOU to the Teen Room! Located in the back of the library, the Teen Room is a space reserved for students in grades 6-12. (The only adults allowed to stay in the room are library staff.) Why hang out in the Teen Room? Because it has a lot of stuff for you! Art supplies. Board games. Maker stuff. Computers. Space. And on weekends and school’s out days—video gaming! The Teen Room has an Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and Wii U for your use. Lots of games are available for you to play. In addition to all of this awesomeness, every Friday night is Teen Movie Night. After the library closes on Fridays, the Teen Room stays open for you to hang out and watch a movie (6-8:30pm).
