End-of-Year Closeout 2019-2020
Summer is Right Around the Corner!
Before I provide you with important information about how we will close out this year, I want to take this opportunity to let you know how much you all mean to me and to the Bethel staff!
When I have thought of summer in previous years, I was filled with excitement for you and your families, as summer brings opportunities for you all to spend more time together. While I am still excited for you all to have this time and a break from the day-to-day grind, I am saddened that I will not be able to hug you all goodbye. Our business is not about books and computers, but about people and WE MISS OUR PEOPLE!!! Summer is right around the corner and a break is on the way! Please know that I am thinking of you, praying for you, and that I love you! Read, read, read over the summer and have fun!
I am looking forward to, hopefully, seeing you when you come to return your chromebooks and library books and to pick up your personal belongings! Please read the information below very carefully and let your teachers or me know if you have any questions. Thank you for all you do to support your children and the Bethel Learning Community! Love - Mrs. Barbee
Online Remote Learning Ends June 4, Choice Boards, and EOY Progress Notes
- Online remote learning assignments are due June 4th.
- The final day of school, as noted in the CCS Board of Education approved calendar, is still June 11th.
- Students will be expected to participate in at-home, supplemental learning through June 11th, using choice boards, which can be found below and on our school's webpage.
- Per the State Board of Education, all districts are required to send home an end-of-year progress report. These will be shared with families electronically (Remind, SeeSaw, Class Dojo, email, Canvas) on June 11th.
Return of School Materials and Pick up of Personal Belongings
Please read through this section very carefully, as all dates, times, and safety precautions must be followed through the school closure process. *NOTE - There are scheduled times for each grade level, but sibling materials will be placed together so that families do not have to come more than once:
- All families will come through the normal car rider line and remain in their cars for process.
- Please ensure that you do not come if you have any of the COVID-19 related symptoms. We will hold materials and they may be picked up at another time.
- We will use a station-type process, just was we do for car riders.
- One person will check in your computer/charger while another person takes library books and any other school materials that need to be returned (name tags, safety patrol belts, etc.)
- A third person will be retrieving and will then distribute your child's belongings that have been securely bagged and labeled.
- As you can imagine, this will take time, so we thank you in advance for your patience and flexibility and for sticking to your assigned time unless it is absolutely unavoidable.
