All About The ISS

The International Space Station (ISS) is famous because it is unique. It is the first "home" in space. The ISS was made possible by eleven contributing countries, who each developed sections and parts which were sent up and attached. So far, the ISS has been in space for 15 years, and will continue to orbit much longer. The International Space Station has cost a total of over $150 billion to build, launch, and maintain.


The ISS has benefited all the contributing countries in several ways. They have all learned to cooperate better on this project. Also, astronauts have been able to do unique research on the ISS. This has been a very beneficial project to many people.
