Shepard News & Notes

May 13th, 2016

Hello Shepard Parents:

Today, our seventh grade students enjoyed what has become one of the more popular events at Shepard over the last few years--a visit from the Lost Boys of Sudan. You can see a few pictures below. There is also a post on One School, One Blog summarizing the visit!

Warm Regards,

2nd/FINAL Posting - DHS Warrior Wear

Looking for a gift for a graduating 8th grader? How about getting some Warrior gear!

3rd Posting - PTSO School Supply Order

Spring has arrived! With it comes our annual School Supplies Sale. Believe it or not, it is time to order school supplies for next fall!

Teachers like it when parents purchase through this program because every child has with the same set of supplies and is ready to go on the first day of school.

We like the program because it's so much easier than running from store to store to get just the right item. And, through bulk purchasing, we’re able to save you money, too.

Orders will be delivered right to school for students to pick-up on Fee Day in August.

We hope you enjoy the convenience of ordering school supplies online as well as the great prices we are able to get by buying in bulk. Perhaps best of all, you won’t have to shop for school supplies over the summer!

Treat Day Wrap Up

Thank you so much for your help with Treat Day this year. We raised $1,537.00 that will go towards helping families in need at Shepard. Proceeds help to pay for fees, yearbooks, lunches and extra curricular activities for low income families. This ensures that these students have the full Shepard experience. I am grateful that I had such a reliable group of bakers who provided such a fun variety of treats for the students.

The following parents baked or bought for Treat Day throughout the year:
