We had a great time Christmas Caroling this past Thursday evening, it was fun seeing many of our kiddos and families out and about. Thank you families for joining us!

This weekend, the City of Boerne will host the Weihnachts Christmas Parade. We will have many Curington families participating in the parade. It is a lot of fun, be sure to bring a lawn chair and arrive early. The parade will begin around the fire station on Main St. at 6:00pm.

Upcoming Events:

Tamalada- December 6th

Our Dual Language classes will be participating in Tamalada. The families in each Dual class will be brining hot chocolate and tamales Tuesday morning for a fun morning. This is a fun tradition we have here at Curington. It is always neat seeing the many different types of tamales!

Scoliosis Screening (5th grade girls)- December 7th

Each year our district is required to do scoliosis screenings. School based spinal screenings help identify abnormal spinal curves at an early age. Early detection is key to controlling spinal deformities. This will be taking place on Wednesday with 5th grade girls. A letter was emailed to families last week by 5th grade teachers. Challenge Lab Showcase- December 8th

Our Gifted and Talented students have been hard at work over this past semester. We will host a showcase in the evening for families to stop by and see the different products our kids have been working on. We will be in the cafeteria and look forward to seeing our G/T kiddos and their families.

5th grade Business Fair- December 15th

Our 5th graders are currently learning about fiscal responsibility. They are tasked with creating a product, marketing the product, and then making a sale. Our PreK/Kinder-4th grade students will be visiting their booths on December 15th and making purchases. This is a great opportunity for our students to understand the functions of a business. PK-4th grade students will be able to purchase tickets in order to buy items from the Fair. More info to come.

Christmas/Holiday Class Party- December 16th

Christmas/Holiday Parties are right around the corner. This is a 1/2 day early release for students/staff. Please help us with attendance and if you are checking your child out early, please do so no earlier than 10:00am. Parents are welcome to join us for the party
