It's All About Your Mindset
I found this newsletter this week for ways that parents can promote a growth mindset and thought it was too good not to share. Even though it was written for parents, I think it has great value for us as educators. I'll keep my comments short so you can read the blog entry. (Be sure to watch the video as well.) We will be discussing the growth mindset and its impact on our students in the coming weeks.

Tech Task of the Week
On another note, don't forget about starting to check out some Twitter chats. Soon we will begin participating in chats with educators across the country, but there's a learning curve. I encourage you to find one you like and just read the tweets your first time. It won't take long before you'll be in there participating! A word to the wise -- make sure you aren't trying to do something else while you're in a Twitter chat. As you can see below, cooking pancakes and following #leadupchat on Saturday mornings might not be the best idea. :)
